Launching #AYearOfKindness Last Week!

We’ve been giving a few little hints and teasers about #AYearOfKindness in our social media and newsletter in the past months. They were so subtle, you may have missed them.

This blog post is a long time in the making! Last week, we finally launched #AYearOfKindness, our version of a Pay It Forward campaign. We wanted to give back to our community, and believe even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big impact in the lives of others.

This Thanksgiving, we wanted to show our gratitude for all that we have by extending a little kindness for those who aren’t as lucky. For our launch, we put together eight care packages to hand out to a few of those homeless and hungry downtown in our city. It included Clif bars and a banana for nourishment, a Tim Hortons gift card to escape the elements and get a warm drink, gloves and an emergency blanket as the weather turns cooler.

With our bags all packed up, we headed out as a team to hit the streets and distribute them!

To respect the privacy of those receiving the packages, we didn’t take any photos. We only hope that they provided some small comfort this Thanksgiving.
