How has your education or experience prepared you for your career?

My experience and education are pretty varied, making me a bit of a “jack-of-all-trades”, which actually works for me! I’ve done a lot of customer service, which has given me insight into how to best help people. My degree is a BA in business and digital media – the business portion makes me a strategic thinker, my digital media studies inspired me to understand and work with technology, and my knowledge of academic, professional, and creative writing have given me a solid foundation to write copy for multiple applications and industries.

Why do you enjoy being a part of this industry?

I thrive on change and learning, so being involved in digital marketing – a field that is perpetually in flux – really is the best thing ever. Monotony isn’t in my work vocabulary, and that’s exactly how I like it! I also derive immense satisfaction from helping others and being able to use and grow my creative and analytical skills in my day-to-day.

What do you get up to when you’re not working?

My toddler definitely devours most of my spare time, but it’s alright – I’m kind of obsessed with her! She’s an adorably clever, observant, and silly little girl, and it’s so fun watching her discover and make sense of her world. When I can sneak in a few minutes, I love reading, gaming, playing music, or writing flash poetry.
