Why do you enjoy being part of this industry?

The industry offers me so much! It’s always changing and evolving. There are always new tools to try, new tech to discover and new trends to inspire. It gives me the opportunity to learn and experience new things every day. I am always up for a challenge and can’t wait to take on the next project. I enjoy tapping into a client’s visions and using my skills to suit their needs and help them further their goals.

What do you get up to when you’re not working?

Spending time with my family. My two sons keep me on my toes everyday! We love going on adventures together and seeing and experiencing new things. Cooking is also a passion of mine. I really enjoy being innovative in the kitchen and creating new menus for my family. I love seeing their excitement to try new recipes and making them happy and full!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a doctor just like my cousin. Growing up, I found it really inspiring to see him help so many people. Once I got into highschool, however, I realised that biology was not my forte – especially when it involves dissecting insects! My interests then transitioned into the field of computer science. I decided to drive straight into the field and completed a Computing Science Major at Vancouver Island University.
