Nanaimo Foundation This community foundation and registered Canadian charity operates in Nanaimo, connecting donors to causes while investing in people and projects through a variety of local organizations. As part of their efforts to educate and promote their services, the foundation approached Array for a brand overhaul that included educational and promotional materials with colour flexibility and a more progressive look and feel. The new brand concept uses an asymmetrical layout to communicate flexibility, inspiration and confidence. The overlapping section of the icon represents the concepts of connection, community and integrity. Sentence case lettering in the logotype allows the name to be easily read and the timeless font style represents a forward-thinking, stable brand. The logo’s tagline puts “you” the donor in the driver’s seat. It makes you feel important and gives you something great to accomplish. You choose what cause matters to you and how others will remember you. It also speaks to the foundation’s personalized funds and strategic, thoughtful planning. Business cards for donors and financial advisors highlight the eye-catching colours of blue, green, yellow and magenta while incorporating the new branding and modern fonts. The annual report draws in the new branding for a dynamic, highly-readable document that shares all the exciting news and highlights from the Foundation’s last fiscal year.
